About

I’m Jodie – a name I have an arguably unreasonable dislike for, much to my husband’s amusement, and which I shan’t go into the reasons for right now.
I basically love writing, and generally being creative, so after completing my degree a little later in life than most, I enrolled onto a Creative Writing Masters Degree (six years of undergraduate study somehow didn’t put me off).
After I finished the masters (completed it, mate), I thought ‘now what?’. The masters gave me a lot of opportunity to write, and I wanted to carry on. I had multiple projects going in various states of completion; a novel, some short stories, poems, but I wasn’t getting any of it out there.
Enter blogging.
My aim and direction can be a little haphazard, probably due to my unmedicated ADHD (yes, I’m one of those people), but I’m hoping to bring readers some funny and interesting things to read, some tips on writing yourself, and a little about my journey and how I live, study, write and work with neurodiversity.
Spoiler alert: it’s not easy. Life with two thousand mental tabs open constantly and always chasing the good stuff (dopamine) means things often get in the way of getting sh*t done. But what better writing material than exploiting my own difficulties for your entertainment!
Enjoy…
